The Aurelio Rodriguez Scholarship Fund was formed in 2000 by the Hispanic Business Alliance as a vehicle to to honor the memory of Hispanic sports heroes while assisting our youth in reaching their goals through scholarships and mentoring.

To be eligible for the HBA Aurelio Rodriguez Scholarship you must meet the following criteria:

1. You must be a high school senior with a minimum grade point average of 2.5
2. You must be a resident of the Southeast Michigan

Attach a two-page essay, typed, in which you answer the following questions:

1. What single event significantly impacted/changed your life? Be specific in describing how this event changed/impacted your life.
2. What do you hope to accomplish in your life?
3. How will you give back to your community?
